Also, to be fair to spidey, while you're right that there are harem(-esque) shoes that have genuine quality and variety (I've always considered No Game No Life to be more on the harem side) I think spidey's mainly referring to anime with the stereotypical extreme doormat and socially oblivious loser as the MC that the majority of harems are known for. This girl Marie is hilarious to me because she's such a rough girl who curses and get angry a lot, but the last time I heard her voice actress in an anime, she was voicing a sweet, innocent little witch girl named Izetta. It's quite a drastic shift in tone, and I find it funny. Plus, her bodyguard is voiced by Christopher Sabat (who was also Piccolo/Vegeta in DBZ, Zoro in One Piece, Kyoma in Dimension W, and some other voices I've heard on Toonami) so that's pretty awesome too.
