Oddly, I think some of the older ones hold up a little better . To me Oblivion falls into the uncanny valley. (this is just personally I am not knocking the game).

I think the older RPG's like Baldur's Gate hold up better than games like Oblivion because that style of play hasn't really been iterated on as much. But you still need to have the right mindset to play that genre.

I first played Planescape: Torment a month ago when the Enhanced Edition came out, and it's the most well-written RPG I've ever played and had me hooked until the end (and it's one hell of an end.)
