MrMallard 05/14/17 4:36:26 AM #49:	I had a phase where I saw some shitty movies, but there was nothing repugnantly awful about them. Most of the time they were just really boring and shitty. I mean I didn't like The Room, even on an ironic level? The story behind The Room is incredible, but I'm not into the movie on any level. I think the worst movie I've ever seen, in the sense that I was hoping for something good, was the english remake of Ju-on: The Grudge. What a steaming bowl of ass that movie was. There's this crap about an American family moving to Japan for work and stuff, and a bunch of weird scenes with this dying grandma or something. It moves at a snail's pace, there are a bunch of pointless scenes like this woman opening a styrofoam bowl of noodles in a supermarket and sniffing them like a fucking neanderthal (was she going to put them back if she didn't like them?), and the Japanese cast and setting felt shoehorned in like a prop next to these bland, white-bread American leads that bumble their way through the movie. I stopped the movie halfway through, and ended up selling the DVD back from where I got it. I mean, I can respect what they were trying to do? And I think the original director was behind the wheel of the remake too, so I dunno what to make of that. It moves at a snail's pace, there are a bunch of pointless scenes like this woman opening a styrofoam bowl of noodles in a supermarket and sniffing them like a fucking neanderthal (was she going to put them back if she didn't like them?), and the Japanese cast and setting felt shoehorned in like a prop next to these bland, white-bread American leads that bumble their way through the movie. I stopped the movie halfway through, and ended up selling the DVD back from where I got it. I mean, I can respect what they were trying to do? And I think the original director was behind the wheel of the remake too, so I dunno what to make of that.
