But before he died, Cyclops was banging Emma Frost for about 12 years or so. Wolverine and Jean have never actually been together once in the comics, except in alternate universes. And it was always sort of a retcon that Jean was attracted to Logan at all (early on, it was pretty clearly a very one-sided sort of attraction). Ironically, as much as people think of Cyclops as being kind of uptight and socially awkward, he's probably had more girlfriends than half the X-Men, and he's basically been in relationships almost constantly. Jean is the major one, but every time she dies or breaks up with him for any reason, he usually winds up dating someone else almost immediately. He hooked up with Colleen Wing back when he just THOUGHT Jean was dead, and he hooked up with Lee Forrester about six issues after Jean died as the Phoenix (which in comic book time is like a month, tops). Then he met Madelyne Pryor, broke up with Lee, and married Madelyne all in the span of about 7 issues (again, a month or two, tops). After Jean came back from the dead they got back together, but they broke up in the early 2000s shortly before Jean died again, which is when he hooked up with Emma. And he's had at least a few other women openly admit they were interested in him even when he wasn't all that interested in them. Out of the 54 years Cyclops has existed as a character, he's been single for maybe 5 of those years tops.
