It was as expensive as an android phone of the same power with HDMI out and less games.

They thought it was going to revolutionize console gaming... lol. Why? It was less powerful than a Gamecube, we had PS4s at the time.

I just didn't understand why people thought a weak $100 console with no devs was going to revolutionize anything or be anything but a dud. It was set up to be a disaster.

I've heard it's great for emulators though.

I can see it being pretty good for that I admit, especially if people didn't want to go through the hassle of setting up multiple controllers, which can be surprisingly hard to do.

Cause they tried to market a $100 console based on its power >_>

The thing failed because they didn't attract any game developers to the thing. It's easy to look back in hindsight and act smug about a failed product.

I was saying this since the kickstarter days. I was also saying the Wii U was going to fail before it came out.

Never made a real claim that didn't pull through, some ideas are just bad, I like to think I'm pretty good at spotting them.

It was a cool idea, but like the N-Gage QD, it wasn't marketed right or sold at the ideal time. Then there's the lack of software. The Ouya as a concept would've been a success if it had launched around 2010. Just enough technology to make it viable without all the competition from smartphones that would later come as normal ones totally died.
