Very vocal, somewhat, not at all? For those of you whose parents/family political views were explicit, how closely do they align with your own today?

I knew who my mom voted for in presidential elections, but that was the extent of any political discourse in my home. My dad never voted.

Used to be not at all, but now my parents can go on tirades against immigrants pretty much whenever we pass by someone with brown skin on the street.

Which is really fucking weird to me because we're first-generation Chinese immigrants and people complain about us the same way my parents complain about Indians and Arabs.

My Dad was a Democrat for his entire life and now is suddenly a huge Republican because he has a mancrush on Trump.
