That's odd. I get the licensing issue for games like Battle for Middle Earth but if it's only the music? Is it really impossible to just remove the problem tracks in order to keep selling your game?

the music is there for a reason, and patching it out requires actual work that they don't want to put in for a 7 year old single player only game

From a business perspective reducing the quality of the game by removing/replacing part of the music is better than not being able to sell it at all anymore, but I guess the other part makes sense. The sales may not justify the effort anymore.

well, it'll always be available physically. so there's that, but it's also a 7 year old game. pretty much everyone who wants it has it, and the ones that don't are going to be able to get it for $3 tomorrow.
