My boss had it last week yet still came into work and was coughing all over the place.

Well, Tuesday I woke up out of nowhere with this bad sore throat. As the day progressed, it evolved into a bad runny nose. By night time, I couldn't breathe out of my nose and just felt like I was floating.

Ended up taking the day off yesterday and got some cold medicine, now my nose feels totally cleared up! However now the pain seems to be moving into my lungs...

Does anyone know, anyone who has had it know if that's how it happens?

Could potentially be progressing into either of them. I'd just keep an eye on it and if you start getting a bad cough too see a doctor.

Only had pneumonia once. I had difficulty breathing, fever, and a bad cough. I also had fluid in my lungs so it felt like I was drowning whenever I laid down. I don't know if what you have is pneumonia so it is best to see a doctor.

i had pneumonia in high school. at first i thought i had a really persistent cold that just would not go away, and then one day i stayed home from school all day, where i was shivering in bed, and when I tried to stand but could not get up (like my legs could not support my weight and I collapsed. after that I got my ass to a doctor ASAP, but medicine and an inhaler, and I was good to go like a week or two later. i was out of school for nearly a month.

my point being that it was a lot more than just a regular cold, if you feel really shitty just go to a doctor to be safe

It's crazy, I got this Mucinex Fast-Max stuff and it completely cuts off my taste and smell while it's active. I thought it was because I was so sick that I just couldn't taste anything, but it's this stuff. I just had lunch before taking another dosage and I could taste everything.

Makes me think it'd be good to down a dose of that before a food challenge or something because you can just eat whatever and not taste any of it.
