Luke prob like aw snap Han found me let me get into my epic pose, but then some random teen comes walking up and Luke be like who tf?? Why is the Republic still considered "the resistance" after all these years? Been around 3-4 decades since they defeated the Emperor. They should be on top of the galaxy if anything. Why was Finn so distraught about killing villagers for his team yet he was completely okay murdering his coworkers on the way out? On some cowardly ish right there. Same with Phasma. The Resistance is different from the Republic. The First Order rose to fight the Republic from thr remnants of the Empire, and the new Resistance rose from somewhere to resist the First Order. The Republic at large likes to refuse to see anything's wrong and therefore won't take any action against the First Order.
