DEKMStephens 05/10/17 12:15:49 AM #10:	Basic Chemistry/Biology: Oxygen is important because lots and lots of organic materials essential for life contain Oxygen (not to mention inorganic things like say, water). Oxygen also has the capacity to produce free radicals which are generally bad and may assist in producing aging and conditions like cancers. I'm not sure how much Oxygen gas contributes to the production of radicals, but if you were to find some other way of administering oxygen as a gas that did not produce radicals, then maybe you'd have something meaningful to say. Evolution has made use of some of those harmful free radicals, so that's why chugging vitamin C won't get rid of all of them.
