Board 8 > You know what contest we really need?

TsunamiXXVIII 05/09/17 12:10:04 AM #1:	A generic enemy contest. I mentioned this in another topic, but I'm giving it its own topic. Board 8 has discussed trying to get more of the "generic enemies" into character battles; Goomba tends to be a popular rally character. We actually sort of did get one into CBIX with the Dragon Quest Slime. And why do we need this contest? Because it's something where, without any outside rallies, we might actually manage to get a non-Zelda winner! Assume a one-per-series limit, and what do you get? Mario: Goomba, though they might be able to get Shy Guy in as well with the series listed as "Yoshi's Island". Final Fantasy: Cactuar? I haven't played many FF games so I don't know what the iconic enemy is. Kirby: Waddle Dee Dragon Quest: Slime Pokémon: Zubat Mega Man: Metool Donkey Kong: Kritter Megami Tensei: Pixie Metroid: It's literally the title of the series. Legend of Zelda: Um...Moblin? I think it's Moblin. Or maybe Stalfos or Octorok. But for its own sake, it had better hope it gets something like Deku Scrub, because that's something that actually debuted in OoT and we know how Allen likes his "first appearance" pics so any true mainstay would get saddled with an NES pic. And unless you're, well, Goomba, that's bad news for you.
