You know that feeling when you have a friend that you know there's nothing you can do for?
Like they're just in the worst fucking possible place and nothing you say or do could ever make them feel better. All you can say are those empty words "I'll be here if you need me brother, I promise." A pair of ears helps, but it's never fixed anything. When what someone needs is an entirely new life, when their life just can't seem to get any worse... Like really you think they've hit rock bottom but somehow life throws them a new low. I've got one friend in that spot right now. He's like a brother to me and it kills me to know that nothing I can do will help. Most of it wasn't even his fault... And I've got another brother that's not far from hitting that spot too if he doesn't make the right decisions the fucking idiot... what he needs is a beating and an emotional talk afterward What do you do when your friends who need hugs and family are 3000 miles away :( --- ... So much is out of our control and there isn't usually a whole lot you can do to help people going through shit but just letting them know you are there is helpful. People appreciate being supported through tough times with love and friendship. Might not seem like a lot and you may still feel helpless but you are helping them.
