i'm sorry to hear about that avi. my old company decided to pull the same shit and make people reapply for their job but only a third would get it. so essentially fired most of the department. luckily i wasn't affected but company love doing shit like that can you fight back somehow? union? employment law? even if they can make you redundant you can get a few months pay from it --- ... I missed the drama at work. My partner began calling out multiple days in a row and even failed to show up on days he was scheduled to come in. I am shocked to hear he did all that. What a way to go. I knew him best out of all of us, at least his work persona. I will miss him.

I think it was a client-based decision. I know I had heard they thought we were overstaffed/overpaid before so they threatened to pull their contract altogether which of course management kowtowed to. And they still expect us to meet their unrealistic-from-the-start project deadline on Thursday lol. I said to my manager, they couldn't wait until after we finished the project? Because it's definitely not getting done now.
