This, except I wonder what sort of world we would live in if no one suffered, not even people who do terrible things. Hell, what would people's motivations for doing anything be? Would we all just become immortal vegetables?

I feel like removing any emotion or feeling from the human condition would fundamentally change us in some weird ways.

Eliminating suffering would probably change up the very foundation of society. If no one is suffering, then everyone is well off, the economy will never crumble, wars won't happen, etc. In comparison the 50 billion seems kind of... pointless...

Actually, it's such a massive change up that I might be better off just improving my own life instead of creating a brand new society with unpredictable results. At least I can predict what I am going to do with 50 billion.

the very foundations of our society are based upon getting ahead of one another... for society to go through such a massive reform in minutes would probably crumble the pillars and set us back quite a few years. I'd rather take the 50 billion and donate money around than do something that dramatic.
