The bank... doesn't even... check the amount in the rolled up quarters and nickels and pennies.

For all they know I could have left out one or two coins to complete the roll, and be cheating them put of ad much as $5-$10 depending on how much I made.

It's so weird they don't recount my work? Has anyone else ever rolled up coins for dollar bills and given them to the bank?

Any bank that doesn't just take a bucket of random coins, isn't a very good bank.

They weigh them.

I'm telling you, she just took the coins and deposited them into the account, which was subsequently withdrawn as cash.

They weight/count them later, then adjust your account balance.

No, you're right tc. You've single handedly fooled banks that have been operating for decades.

professional bank teller here so everyone shut up

no they don't weigh your rolled coin wtf

they're probably supposed to open the roll and count it by hand or ask you to dump it in the coin counter machine

but the reality is who the fuck cares if you try to dick them over a few pennies
It isn't really worth their time to make a big deal out of it

If you're a professional why are you saying probably instead of definitely?

Professional bank teller? Is every $12 an hour job that you can learn how to do in a weekend considered professional now?

One time I asked if I could get $20 out of my account in quarters.

The chick was like "Sure!", gave them to me, and the money never came out. She didn't ask me any identifiable info and I didn't realize until a day or so later.
