i have a ton of 'to-read' philosophy books, but i have abandoned my plan of pursuing graduate studies in the field. is there any point in reading them other than just for general interest?
like... should i even read them? --- yeah yeah those punks are tough ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's only of historical interest at this point. If you only pursue hobbies if they can have serious application, then yeah, I'd drop that one

LysistrataMedea posted...like... should i even read them? i don't even know i guess i am just wondering about whether keeping it as a hobby makes any sense. it takes a ton of energy to read all these complex books and i don't even have people to talk to about them --- yeah yeah those punks are tough ... I don't think you need to approach this in an all or nothing sense. If you're busy, then hobbies naturally get shuffled off to the side. It might be that you just need to be a bit more selective regarding the books you read or look for something in a more easily digestible format.
