This logic literally makes no sense. So guys can't be virgins before marriage, but it's acceptable for girls to be? I'm not even mad about the double standard, a guy needs a girl to have sex (since the discussion was focused on heterosexual couples), I don't get it. Unless she wants dudes to practice with other dudes for their virgin wife down the road.

I just don't really care. If I'm in a relationship with someone and find out she's a virgin, I'm not gonna freak out and run. If I'm just looking for a one-night stand (which I would never do anyway), I guess it would be different, but for a couple looking toward a long distance relationship, I feel like only a shallow person would break up with someone because of that. Sexual experience is not high on my list of things I need in a girl.

I agree with this.

But I think there's a difference between sexual compatibility and experience. I don't see a problem in breaking up with someone because they don't want to have sex at all, or because they want too much sex, something like that. It is a bit odd, I think, to break up with someone because they don't have enough experience. Even if you both wanted sex let's say 3 times a week, yet you broke up with her because "she didn't have enough practice before". That just seems unfair and shallow to me. To each their own, and it isn't my place to judge other people, but it just always seemed odd.

That's kinda what my friend was alluding to. Apparently she wouldn't want to date someone who's a virgin, whereas I could care less whether or not a girlfriend of mine was a virgin or not, as long as we were on the same page as far as future sexual relations.

Only girls are expected to be pure and virginal when they're wed. :v God made the rules a long time ago. If a girl isn't a virgin on her wedding night she's supposed to be dragged out into the street and stoned to death. God never suggested doing the same thing to men though.

I wonder why modern Christians don't stone people anymore. The bible is pretty clear about it.
