I don't mean to sound antagonist with the topic title.
I just want to know since I seem to see a lot of you guys here on CE that apparently has never been in a relationship and some of those are really down and out about it. I'm not sure why, but this shit just peaked my interest. What was it like being without companionship for so long? How did you cope with it? How does it affect you over a long period of time.

It was frustrating for a while and I would get crushes on girls I knew all the time, but nothing ever worked out. It's also something I didn't really want to talk about because people thought it was weird, even in high school. Now I really don't care because I wouldn't know what to do if I had a girlfriend. I'm totally a happy person even though I don't have much going for me.

I dunno about the others, but I feel unloved, and like a failure. I'm absolutely depressed, but that's probably only partially caused by the loneliness. I've got lots of factors that contribute to the depression and anxiety. My former therapist said he believed it most,y stemmed from never feeling lived though, so I don't know.

It just sucks in general.

I've largely stopped caring and just drink and play video games. Lord knows how much beer I drank while playing BotW.

Maybe you should capitalize on those things, like maybe joinning clubs. That way, you'll be meeting people with a similar interests​. And who knows, you might learn new things and find that your interested in things revolving around movies and games.
When you start working towards those things, it'll probably be appealing to people when you make something out of it.
