It is the justice for all of layton series.

The quality and progression of the layton series is surprisingly similar to ace attorney. I just realized it now.

The first game is good, a great start to a series. Second one is a bit hit or miss, the third one is considered the magnum opus of the series.

The 4th is the start of a new trilogy, considered pretty rough, some consider lowest in the series, then it gets progressively better at number 5 and 6, although not reachin the popularity of number 3, they are considered a respectable return to the series ending the new trilogy.

How coincidental, considering they actually made a Layton versus ace attorney (ie Phoenix Wright) game.

Also the 3rd one had just as stupid a reveal. They're still all emotional ones, but nevertheless rather... far reaching.

4th is light years better than 2, and better than 1 too, something which not be said for ace attorney at all

They all have dumb premises. The first one had asuper realistic robot village where even the prof didn't catch on until the end

and that's supposed to be the good one

gameplay is still fun tho so whatever. Don't play puzzle games for the story.

3 have legit great story and a little more plausible than the rest of the trilogy

The first set the tone for the series but I still like the golden apple twist.

And I only got up to the 4th but while I was able to guess the twist almost immediately, I still liked it. Probably because it was a little less out there than the original trilogy sequels.
