Apartment 23 was doomed from the start because of its horrendous name. It was a really great show.

All the ABC shows suffered from that, according to most people. They seem to really hate the names of the shows.

i really hated Happy Endings. i remember seeing a promo for it that had some chick having a fucking mental breakdown because someone called her ma'am, and that was just incredibly stupid. plus the lighting and camerawork always seemed way too synthetic and unnatural to me.

It's part of the play on the idea of happy endings in movies, all synthetic and stuff. Plus I was like you I hated the pilot so damn much and the first few episodes were eh. But after it really started to get good and then just gets better into season 2 and some of season 3.

The thing with the first season is ABC aired the episodes out of order (ABC is really into fucking up its own shows and then canceling them, I honestly don't get it myself)

Until this season, I used tot try to watch every single new show that seemed interesting or promising. I don't have the time for that anymore. But I still added about 10 new shows this year. 3-4 of them might make it.

Rial watches hundreds of television programs.

Wow and I thought I watched a lot (but mostly just old stuff)

I haven't watched new shows in ages. It's only by some miracle that I discovered last year's The Grinder and this year's The Good Place. Both which were recs on this dump (one of the few times the denizens here have proven useful)

But otherwise the only comedies I know of to be any good to me are Brooklyn Nine Nine and Modern Family. If you know any good ones ongoing let me know.

I haven't gotten around to Better Off Ted yet, but the other two were fantastic.

Don't Trust the B made me love James Van Der Beek.

Get that trash out of here. The other shows mentioned in this topic were entertaining. Pushing Daisies should have been canned before the end of the first season.

Talking about mostly new things...

Sitcoms:
Life in Pieces(2 seasons)
Speechless
Black-ish Spinoff(only one episode so far)
You're The Worst(3 seasons, some heavy episodes)
The Last Man on Earth(3 seasons)
The Carmichael Show

If you're okay with animated, Rick and Marty, Bojack Horseman. Both will have some heavy shit sometimes, though.

For dramas:
Timeless
Taken
This Is Us
Designated Survivor
The Blacklist: Redemption (but if you don't watch The Blacklist, don't bother)

I'd suggest sitcoms like The Mick and American Housewife, The Great Indoors, Powerless, but they are merely average to bad.

There are other shows I liked that will surely be cancelled. Like Notorious.

Then there are shows that I watch that should be cancelled that aren't. Like Bull, MacGyver, Chicago Justice(the worst Chicago show)

And then shows that we're bad and deserve their fate. Like Training Day(RIP, Bill Paxton), APB(I had high hopes)

worst opinion i've ever heard, Pushing Daisies is legitimately one of the most charming and delightfully quirky TV shows that has ever been made

If more people shared your opinion, I'm sure it would still be on TV. The show was bad and outlived its welcome.

I didn't really grow up with Dawson's Creek so felt like I might have missed out on possible injokes, but I get the basic gist of former teen heart throb star.

Also the episode with Dean Cain (from a show I did grow up with) was hilarious sauce.

No no..I got warned because I made a post in a certain topic about how the topic title was an obvious set up for an offensive joke. But I knew the joke would get modded, so I didn't post it. But apparently now we can be warned just for stuff we thought about postinf
