Controversial opinion: I really appreciate a lot of the stuff Trails in the Sky does... but I can't help but find it boring and many times flawed.

I know, it is kinda a,slow burn and honestly the story isnt that all amazing too It is Great, but not amazing. The main appeal for me is the worldbuildin and little details they putt into the setting. The worldbuilding and character development are unmatched in the genre. Random npcs you meet in the first game end up with character progression in the second and third game for god's sake.
The story is fairly slow, but I didn't mind it much in the first game. The story in the second game picks up much much faster and was riveting the entire ride for me. --- Attention campers, lunch has been cancelled today due to lack of hustle. Deal with it. It doesnt change the game much, but it is cool that people in 2 recognize the sidequests you do in 1. There arent much choices like mass effect or somethin but it still feels nice that your achievements are recognized. The level carry over, the equipment however not.
