Can't stand my bus commute to school/work anymore and I have at least 1.5 years until I graduate. Can anyone offer personal anecdotes in this area?

Rent and auto insurance are both crazy expensive here cause Canada is for The Rich Only. Will probably cost me $600 a month if I have roommates which is like half my income tbh and then I still have to take the bus and... have roommates, which I haven't had a good experience with so far in my life. Food costs will also increase by a few hundred.

And insurance may be $200 per month but then there's gas and parking. I would pay probably $3000 over a year just to own and drive a 20 year old Honda Civic that cost me $3000 to begin with and at the end of the day I still live with my parents.

hard decision, man. student loans can help pay for either but not enough for both.

like $1000/month for summer and then $400/month during fall/winter when I'm in school. I obviously can't really afford either with just my income but I quite a bit of savings and can get a student loan which may be upwards of $10k for 1 full year if they don't short me (sometimes they do)
