I feel fighting game mastery requires:
Muscle memory Fast reaction time Real time strategy Predictive skill Flexible thinking Willingness to go back to zero and try something new Perseverance to devote your life to the game and git gud No shame in being an infant button masher. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Mastering a martial art is probably easier than mastering a fighting game honestly.

Mastering a real martial art is very expensive. And it also hurts. Football practice was bad enough. Wrestling practice was bad enough. It tried it in my early 30s swapping personal training with a local place that offers a bunch of different styles and all I did was get my ass kicked and injured. And I had to pay for it. I'm strong enough and I know how to handle myself. Rather not take the constant abuse from sparring.

These days there is probably more money made in being the best at Street Fighter 5 than being great at martial arts.
Also, the largest reason someone would be great at a fighting game over martial arts is simply because it's more fun for them. --- 1. The only fool bigger than the person who knows it all is the person who argues with him. 2. They're all complacent sheeple. <==]-<(-_o)>-[==> ... Copied to Clipboard!
