I bought a 3DS just to play Pokemon Sun and ended up completely losing interest within a week of playing

That's what happened to me with diamond. I just lost interest in the series. Though I was never big on it to begin with. I never delved deep in the combat or mechanics since I could just get away with switching types depending on the situation.

Diamond was the most disappointing Pokemon game I ever played. Holy shit it was so SLOW and boring. The Sinnoh region bore me, the pokemon were not memorable, and the fucking mountain splitting the region in two was annoying. Only good things about it were some of the tough gym leaders and the hardest champion I've faced against.

Gen 4 was easily my favorite, it's when I really got into the meta game and it had a lot of awesome designs. On the flip, hated Gen 5's meta sooooo much and I didn't like very many of the designs. Had an okay story for a Pokemon game, though. Oh and 5 was waaaaay too easy, even for Pokemon.

Yeah, weather heavy so bad they ended up nerfing weather in the next Gen. I hated Stealth Rocks in Gen 4 but I still found the meta fine anyway. Not so much for five.
