its' nuclear bombs that's what's preventing a WW3. One of the big reason none of the almighty countries (USA, Russia and China) wants to go to war is because of this. Everyone fears a nuclear apocalypse. The moment these big countries get involved in a direct war with each other, use of nukes becomes inevitable. Everyone knows that.

It's also why the Cold War is the Cold War and not a WW3. Soviet Russia and USA wouldn't have gone to war with each other either. They know the repurcussions.

The world is like a saloon in the wild wild west full of cowboys that have had a few drinks. Some cowboys have lots of arms instead of just two, and some of them have guns in their hands pointed at the heads of the other cowboys. Some cowboys don't have guns and some cowboys are more drunk than others.

Sure, most non-drunk reasonable cowboys don't want to fire the first shot, but as more and more cowboys walk into the bar, keep drinking and keep trying to buy guns, the room as a whole becomes more uneasy because all the cowboys know that peace can only be sustained for so long. Once a round is shot in the small room, how the rest of the room reacts is anyone's guess.

It's no different. North Korea keeps their nukes for their own protection. That's how they view it and the US. They see the US as the threat, not the way round. They know they can't win in a war. That's why a war will never start.

Yeah, if you're the kind of person that never studied on history. There's NEVER been a single war between countries since WW2, did you know that? All wars since WW2 has only been fought within a country (aka civil war), not between countries.
Sometimes this invites into a proxy war (eg. Vietnam and Korean war) but never a direct war between countries.

People that still talk about WW3, I can only facepalm. The same talk generated since the 1960s till now by those clueless to the political environment. If anything, the world will most likely end from global warming and the sheer amount of pollution going on. Actually no, inevitably it will.

Again ironically, something so severe that will happen yet no one gives a s**** about doing anything about it cos it's far into the future and everyone just cares about making economies go round.
