Keep in mind it's slower paced than what you'd expect. It's about life in a large marketing firm as the culture transitions from the '50(men are in charge, women are in the kitchen) to the '60(civil rights, women's equality, counter culture)

It's about the Madison Avenue advertising group during the 1950s & 60s. If you like period dramas it's great but if you're looking for action or comedy, look elsewhere.

Don't go into it waiting for a really dramatic plotline, the show is a full on character study and it's the best in it's form at it. It seems at first like you're going to be absorbed by some big plotline but you're really just observing the lives of these characters, it's not something I would honestly recommend to my friends but for what it does it's great at doing it
