Maybe it will help boost sales, maybe we'll get a special edition green Vita, it's just a shame to see the handheld die. It's such a nifty piece of hardware but there's just no games on it. It was nice enough for Falcom to release Ys 8 on both it and ps4, but really it doesn't compare to actually having games on it from different developers and different genres.

I know but it's just, I look at this thing and think, that's what the psp should have been, and maybe if there was still a market for it we could have gotten a devil may care game or resident biohazard game or I dunno, something.

The only reason the PSP was even remotely as popular as it was, because of how easily piracy was accomplished on it. The PSP before that was not all that popular.

Hell I just realized the real problem; not even square enix is giving vita the time of day. While the 3ds got a kingdom hearts, the vita which has analog sticks now didn't get one at all, and a kh 2.94323 and three quarters would have really helped the system.
Plus it would be interesting to see a game really take advantage of whatever the hardware has to offer. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

But remember what it was like in early 2005, at the peak of ps2 and by extension Sony popularity, when they were able to convince the world that a giant brick with the most garbage format of all time (UMDs) was worth buying, despite the library of most people in that year being... movies. The main draw to the psp for me was the ps1 games you could get on it. I assume the vita could serve the same purpose with ps2 games, but I'm just not sure I'm that interested in that right now.
Portable gaming used to be my jam because I would do most of my gaming either on the road or while laying in bed before I fell asleep. I'm in a different place now so I just don't think it's for me. Combine that with the rise in phone gaming to scratch any tiny itch people might have, and I'm thinking portable gaming systems are just not going to ever be as popular as they once were. ... I still can't believe that 3ds with its pathetic specs, even the day it came out it was out dated badly, and pure shit screen managed to do so well. Graphics were absolutely shit to the point it was deal breaker. I considered buying n3ds few times but after seeing how games like xenoblade looked it made me not to want it. Because MGS Peace Walker on PSP did a lot for the handheld. Hell I don't even like MGS and I bought my first PSP because of that bundle.
So I think an original MGS would do wonders for Vita, even if like PW it will just get ported to ps4 later down the line. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
