The exact poll question was: "Which do you watch more of: traditional sports, or eSports?" Esports is just the accepted nomenclature, a label everyone understands. You might have a point if the question was: "What's your favorite sport? Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Starcraft 2, Football, League of Legends".
