Generally it's for people playing games. Usually either speed runs or some sort of challenge runs. Or maybe the person is actually entertaining.
Or they're a girl with giant tits.

Yeah I feel too old too. When I give my nephew a game to play he sits there and tells me everything he's doing and screams when stuff happens and all that. Of course he would because that's how he experiences most games. Watching people do that exact thing.

Why watch anyone do anything?

The reason most people watch streamers is because theyre entertaining or just simply better than they are at whatever game theyre interested in. I watch people play football because they are at the top of the echelon in regards to playing the game competitively. Its entertaining and you can learn a lot. Same thing with watching streamers play League of legends, Dota, Street fighter, etc.

This. You watch movies because you enjoy the actors and derive entertainment. You watch sports because you enjoy the athletes and derive entertainment. You watch streams because you enjoy the gamers and derive entertainment.

We all watch people do things as entertainment, in one form or another.

I do understand watching competitive gaming or watching speedruns and the like. If they're trying to accomplish something or do something new then yeah that's entertaining. Or those short and funny videos that get to the point.

But watching some random person play a game over something like Twitch seems so damn boring to me if they're just playing the game normally It's the YouTube personality side of things I don't really get.

But I recognize I'm someone that has the issue of having not enough time to play the games I want instead of not having enough money. So I guess I can understand that some people experience games they otherwise wouldn't get to play over streaming. Just makes it feel like a waste to me though. A game never goes away.
