Not because of the money or the blatant way they strip content from the main game. No. It's the fact I don't want to go back to game months later just to play some 3 or 4 hour mission because by that time I'm either playing something else or I've forgotten how to play so much that Ican't be bothered to get back up to level.

Anyone else?

Yeah, I hear that. Once I'm done with the main story I feel like I'm pretty much done with the game, unless it's one that I really enjoy and want to see more content in that same world. A lot of games get stale these days so I move on pretty quickly.

I like it because it generally extends the life of the game, especially since it usually adds to the core gameplay (which is likely the reason I played the game to begin with)

I agree. Dark Souls 3 was a slog to get through the DLC.

I feel you. When I move on, I move on. I've missed a lot of DLC expansions and whatnot over the years. Even after I bought the DLC, I just couldn't be fucked to go back. Especially hate it for ones that cliffhanger that shit to finish up in the DLC.

Agree, for sort of the same reason.

Why would I spend more money on a game I have already enjoyed when I could spend that money on a completely new game and enjoy it too.

move all remaining groundhog mercenaries to the front lines. Have sheep troopers squadrons A and B flank the cows. They're using DC-17 hoof blasters.

Going back to DLC months/a year down the line when you're rusty is pretty awful. Especially as they tend to structure the DLC like you've just finished the main content. Basically have to relearn everything in a non-friendly way.

For huge expansions like The Witcher 3's it's fine because you're practically playing a whole game which gives you plenty of time to reacquaint with the mechanics and still have a good (even majority) chunk not fighting the game itself but most DLC is super lacklustre in this regard.

Actually TC that's the main reason I almost never buy DLC. I don't agree with the whole "stripping content" argument since it has no basis, and the prices aren't too bad, but usually I'm burnt out by the time it gets released. That why I never played any DLC for any of the Bethesda games, and why I still haven't played the DLC for Witcher 3 even though I've heard it's awesome.
