I've wondered, as an intellectual puzzle, if there's a simple algorithm that can determine eliminations without using brute force. If anyone has any ideas how that would be accomplished, I'd love to expore that.

I guess it depends on what you mean by brute force? I don't think it's really possible to calculate unless you have all the brackets at your disposal.
The general formula for comparing one bracket to another is [Deficit] vs [Possible points gained], where deficit is the current difference in point totals, and possible points gained is the number of points represented in the difference in brackets (where points only count if the year picked hasn't lost a match yet). If the deficit is the larger value, you're eliminated. If ngamer sends me a csv of the finalized brackets, I can run eliminations again - my program should still work with minimal modification for bracket size. --- -.. --- - ... / .- -. -.. / -.. .- ... .... . ... ... like, brute forcing points is probably not that hard but grouping the brackets together to know when there's an elimination is another thing. I'm not sure if that's done algorithmically or through careful inspection of the data.

There is one error regarding my bracket. I have 2001>2000 in the semifinal, not 2000>2001 as the site shows.
