If I'm in the 70s before bed, I don't bother charging. I don't want it sitting there at 100% for hours. I tend to keep a sharp eye on battery life and longevity. Especially now that most phones don't allow you to change batteries on the fly. I keep my devices longer than the average person, and I don't want major degrading of battery life after a year or so. I use my devices heavily, so I have to keep watch over such things. Fortunately, battery technology has improved quite a bit over the years. Not as dramatically as other mobile tech, but still much better than old "dumb" batteries. Software that tells the phone not to charge anymore, despite being plugged in and dropping below 100%. But there is still more ground to gain in the future of energy storage technology.

I leave my phone plugged in overnight. Is that bad? no, LiPos are fine with that. there's no downside to is unless it overheats while charging what you don't want is to frequently drain down to the point the phone automatically turns off. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
