Just turned on my desktop after about 2 weeks and it's randomly shutting down after about 40 mins of use

I downloaded furmark and prime95 and ran a stress test for about ~15 mins. No issues didn't shut down

The temps also look normal so I'm guess it's my psu but I just bought the thing a few months ago

Please halp!

listen to it and if you can see inside, watch the fans. see if any stop (listen for any of them stopping as well).
i know that if a bearing is going it can be really inconsistent. at first.

Did you run memtest? Sometimes a bad stick of RAM will cause that. If it's not that or not overheating you have a mobo or PSU problem.

define "turns off"

just the screen goes black?
or does it do the whole "quitting windows"

when it turns off, does it go completely silent instantly or do the fans spin for a little while longer?

It just shuts off black screen. The fans don't spin I think that's the issue

Currently reinstalling drivers

That's what the viewer says

So power is being cut from the computer. The culprit could be your power supply, the power cable, surge protecter(if you're using it), or even the wall outlet.

Even with new drivers it's still turning off...

Man this is frustrating...could my psu or mobo be faulty?

Did you not see my post? Power is being lost to the entire computer. It's not drivers.

So your GPU fans aren't spinning up? Make sure you don't have some third party controller shit and set the fans for Windows controlled in the Nvidia or AMD software, whatever you have. Doesn't sound like they're faulty if they spin up during a stress test, sounds like there's a software screwing with their arc. I suppose a sensor could be bad though.

You're post wasn't a good answer, all those errors are saying is that Windows shutdown improperly. There's a million things that can cause that.

Yeah the drivers didn't help

Would a faulty power cable just not work or could have this problem?

I'm guessing TC's fans are working as designed. These days, a lot of GPUs don't spin up their fans until a certain temperature is reached. You could always set a manual fan curve in something like MSI Afterburner to test your fans, though.

I had the same problem as TC with a msi mobo. The safe start faltied out. When i would start the computer i would get blackscreen with no gpu fans spinning becauae it wasnt relaying the temperature to be high enough to warrant the fans to spin, thus not letting me start the computer to begin with. I had to go into the bios and manually disable the feature even though it was broke, have had no issues since then

FYI when this happened to me it turned out a wire got lodged in the CPU HSF

I wouldn't trust temp monitors. I once had HWMonitor tell me that my CPU was 4500 degrees Fahrenheit.
