Figured they would have already done so when the news first broke like two years ago?

Oh well, I don't see Ubisoft's quality going up either way so...

So will Ass Creed games get better or worse? Because they're in a sorry state right now, but I don't really have faith in Vivendi either.

ugh, used to be one of my fav franchises :(

Vivendi will intervene with development by minimizing production time and staff which will maximize profits at the expense of ubisoft's longevity. When ubisoft can no longer turn out a profit from vivendi's demands, they will be killed and sold off. Sierra is a notable former victim of Vivendi which no longer produces games

Ubisoft games are already shovelware, so I'm really not sure anything will change at all in terms of their content. Maybe you'll see more mobile games based on assassin's creed or something, but those games aren't gonna go away until they stop selling.

I criticize the output of Ubisoft plenty (they often get very focused with several IP's on certain genres if they're successful) but they will be even worse under Vivendi. Ubisoft still overall take risks like For Honor, Rainbow Six Siege and Rayman.

Oh god I just realized that they probably would bring out Rayman but it would be like those Activision Crash games. Yuck.

Ubisoft games may be sometimes uninspired but they're not even close to being shovelware. People sure have been spoilt since the PS2 era lol.
