Or will they never feature Wolverine again, if there are any future X-Men movies?

God, I hope not. Let the character rest for a few decades. Showcase some other characters. People are going to keep buying Wolverine merchandise and comics for years to come, why not capitalize and start showcasing new characters? Look at how amazing that worked for Guardians of the Galaxy; they were completely unknown (and mostly not even workable characters) until they were transformed into the movie team and now I see their merch and comics everywhere.

Eh. Saying Wolverine should rest for a few decades is like saying Superman, Batman or Spiderman should rest for a few decades. Hugh Jackman may have given up the role, but I doubt Hollywood would just drop a popular character like that, even though the last movie had a definitive conclusion. Despite strongly associated as being on a team, Wolverine is easily the main character of the X-Men so he's going to stick around in some form or other. I'd be happy if X-23 becomes the new Wolverine in the MCU.

Josh Brolin is taking over the mantle. Looking forward to seeing him play two roles in the upcoming 2021 FOX movie: Wolverine & Cable: Time Warriors (special guest Thanos)

X-Men has nothing to do with the MCU.

Wolverine will obviously be recast for the past timeline. He obviously won't be recast for the future timeline.

Yes, Kevin Hart

at least he is closer to Wolverine's height than Hugh Jackman is

Hugh Jackman is like a foot taller than wolverine but IMO they made a pretty good job making him look short in the movies so I'm not sure why people have an issue with Hugh's casting as his height clearly didn't ruin anything.

I don't know how a guy seven years ago not wanting his baby niece to let perfectly good expensive food go to waste who had three bites out of three different slices of pizza finishing what she left ever became a fad.

Movie Wolverine isn't comic book Wolverine anyway. Like how movie Optimus Prime isn't 1984 Optimus Prime. There will be differences.

I don't know if that is really a good comparison. X-Men existed long before Wolverine, and there are plenty of stories that show they can exist without him. In fact, it's sort of ridiculous to say he's an intricate part when the majority of the movies he is in are not even X-Men films. Really, they could let him rest in the film universe for a few years. They don't even have to retire him completely; there is television, comics, etc.

That sort of proves my point, though.

Do you mean after Logan? I doubt they'd make any movie after that without major retcons or time travel shenanigans. In that case they may as well recast him. Wouldn't make a difference since he's already appeared in the past timeline.

Yes I meant after Logan. By "he obviously won't be recast" I meant it in the sense of he's dead
