I can't complete my day's paperwork until I run my one little report, but the report server is busy chewing away at automated tasks that could just as easily run overnight. I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs just waiting for my job to execute.

I suppose I should blame the sysadmin for allowing all these batch jobs to run at high priority instead of being backgrounded. I feel like I've time traveled back to the days where you submitted jobs on punch cards and paid for processor time by the minute.
