You still have to do it the old traditional way by sending in a tape, although there are online places you could do that in now, and of course, instead of a tape, it's today either just a CD or an MP3 depending on who you come across.

I follow a YouTube channel called Vo Buzz Weekly, and they interview all the top name voice over talents, and in each interview they usually give pro tips on what to do and what not to do in their audition tapes, as well as on recordings while they are already working with someone in the studio.

Um, no. They still make "Disney" films. And he just bought Star Wars.

I went to an actual telecommunications class (school, not just class), and I got my degree, but I never sent in any tape to anyone because I had other circumstances that took place in my life, but at that time it was, yeah, via the recording process of doing or reading a spot or a commercial, depending on what type of job you were aiming to take, whether in radio, commercial, or voice over, and you did several voices for the voice over.

For example, a hyper voice, a serious voice, a confident voice, a professional voice, etc...

The idea in those cases is to get the company you plan to be hired for an idea of your range.

You can't give the same voice for a medical commercial, as you would a car commercial, obviously.

For animation, you have to show how to be very versatile, and be aware of people's accents and knowing how to act according to the situation.

Again, Vo Buzz Weekly is an amazing resource for the voice acting industry, they really give a lot of helpful tips for not only amateurs but for those who have already been in the business for years.

So I can't recommend them enough, please make an effort to dedicate some time to watching at least one of their interviews to give you an idea.

I also recommend just starting out by taking some time out to watch this interview, who is one of my favorite voice over actresses -
