I pretty much ignored the game throughout most of its prolonged development, save occasionally looking at updates that made me even less interested in it, and yet today I walked into CEX with a spare copy of NieR (which is suddenly worth way more than I paid for it now that the sequel is popular) and decided that the best thing there to trade it for would be FFXV. So far, it actually seems... decent. Fun combat, some cool world mechanics, a solid foundation for the worldbuilding, and one out of the four leads seems like they might be tolerable (Ignis, obviously- is it just me or is he weirdly reminiscent of Egon Spengler?).
