They are the same age as my dad's parent's oldest daughter.

From my father's side they died long before I was conceived.
From my mother's side both of them are alive, also, my great-grandmother is in better shape than my grandmother.

One. My grandfather on my dad's side. Just turned 87 two weeks ago.

2, both of my mother's parents. But I guess some people would say that it's technically 1 since my father's birth mother died a long time ago, like way before I was born. But his step-mother is still alive and that's the woman I've known all my life as a grandmother.

My grandfather on my mother's side died before I was born.

My grandfather on my father's side left my grandmother and I never met him, nor did he ever try to meet me. He's a stranger and dead as far as I'm concerned.

My stepgradfather died when I was a kid.

4. They were all very young when they had my parents (youngest was 16, oldest was 20), and my mom/dad had me at age 23ish. So I'm 21, and they're all in their early 60s.

My dad's father committed suicide by exhaust inhalation (or he simply passed out from drinking all night in his garage, debate rages). My dad's mother died of cancer ten or so years back, before I met him.

My grandfather died a year or so ago. I was really close with him. Couldn't attend his funeral because of my psychotic family. My living grandmother is part of said psychotic family, so I don't talk to her at all.

my mom was adopted, so technically I have 6 grandparents, and both my mom's dad and my dad's dad remarried so that makes 8
