I mean I can get by the challenges usually, and it may take some hard work, but from my few experiences of playing against other players, I usually lose, and in the little online things I participated in I ended up like 2,000-4,000 out of 10,000 players or something, and the few times I won things online I think were just because there was either few participants or because the other players were poor themselves, and most likely not because I was a better player than them.

I don't really have the time to get good at one particular game and even if I did I don't have enough of a background in competition in general to succeed.

But there are lots of "superhard" games that I've beaten so I guess that's something.

I do very well in everything that isn't RTS.

For RTS, my brain just doesn't work in such a way that would allow me to "just go with it" when I make strategic decisions involving thinking several steps ahead. I take too long to deliberate. In turn based strategy and tactics games I'm totally fine, just not RTS where I have to multitask in real time.

My skills lie in shooters, particularly high-stakes shooters (stuff with one-life rounds) that allow me some time to come up with creative maneuvers. I am a strategic thinker, I just need it to be something where I don't have to think more than one or two steps ahead and I can change it on the fly as needed. I excel in adaptability and "crisis management" (aka salvaging things when my plan falls apart and shit hits the fan).

Stealth games are probably the games I'm most naturally good at. They combine my lone wolf playstyle, short-sighted strategic thinking, and reactivity to quickly devolving situations.

It really depends on the genre.

If it's a racing game, I'll probably be good at it after 10-15 minutes of getting used to the controls. Same for platformers and RPGs.

If it's a fighting game or FPS, though, I can't play well to save my life.

I used to be good in rts (dune, starcraft, redalert, etc) but my hands are slower now.
good in fighting games.


i also like to play some rpgs but I get stuck at the final bosses cause I didnt have high enough level or good weapons. so not so good.

I'd honestly consider myself pretty good at most games.

I'm really good with racing, good enough with turn based strategy, decent with shooters or action heavy games, and just flat out suck at platformers >_>

Strategy games mostly because there's too much to focus on at once. Like, if I move this dude to go attack that enemy, that leaves this other dude open but that enemy is otherwise gonna kill that third dude but then again there's this second enemy who has like thirty movement range so I need to move everyone out of his range but then there's this third enemy I whose range I have to move into in order to move out of the second enemy's range and I guess I could kill him but I'd have to use this fourth dude but he only has two more uses on his lance because nobody told me there wouldn't be a chance to restock for seventeen levels straight or thos fifth dude but he's already max level so that would be wasted experience and you can't grind in this game so I really need to not even use that dude at all and AAAAAAAAAAH.

Weirdly, I tend to be ok at puzzle games but suck really hard at those damn puzzles they put into non-puzzle games, for some reason. Which why do they even do that anyway? Oh yay Assassin's Creed Brohood let's kill some guys in funny hats oh wait hang on gotta spin some f***ing images because that's why people play this, yep no doubt.

I consider myself bad at pretty much every game. The one exception is the Halo series. I'd say I'm either average or slightly above average for Halo.
