The holding it in between makes it harder. If you just smoothly go through your push-ups it's a lot easier then going down holding it however long then going back up and immediately going down and holding it again

Yeah, I originally thought that the guy on the left was doing something in contrast to the team on the right, so as to see which group was able to do more, either with closed fists, or open palms, but that was not the case obviously.

I've got to about 1:40 a few times, so just after the second long plank part. I've never really trained for it and only do cardio so haven't got the upper body strength to make it all the way through, but it is on my list of targets.
I know someone who has finished it but they were going to the gym everyday when they did it.

CEmen should try this before they start boasting thinking they can do something they can't. There's a lot of extremely athletic men that have failed this. You rest on your elbows when you're planking, meaning that planking doesn't engage the chest and triceps

lol I don't think it's impossible. I just don't believe the majority of CE can do it. Also it takes a lot of upper body strength having good core strength isn't enough.

Yeah I've done it a few times. I don't know where these little babies get this idea that when it gets hard they can just sit down and stop. The group I did it with would just start hitting the ground when you were "done" but still pushing up with the rhythm.

Either way, I'm not in as good of shape now and wouldn't be able to do it, but I don't want to do it again anyways haha.

And also, planking for five minutes straight is just as hard as this. It engages a different muscle group so there's no reason to say these both can't be hard.
