I played it for 2 weeks straight (90 hours) it's the feeling of never exepreinecing something like that for the first time again. Of course I'm gonna play through it a couple more times (might be 2 more) but I never loved a game so much on a playthrough

I'm about 20 hours in and it has me hooked, as Persona games do for me. So far, this is my favorite one. I'm having a really hard time not spoiling things for myself.

dont spoil, this is probably why i was so hooked too. I didn't know of any of the characters or story so everything was new. Of course I had come across a few spoilers on the P5 board but they were not game breaking. The game delivers until the very end

This is like most Persona games. They hold your hand for the first 10 hours or so and then things get good :)

This is my first Persona game and I'm enjoying it. Not that far really though as I'm 30 hours in and just got done with the second palace. Having got the plat for Final Fantasy XV I can already say Persona 5 is better. That's not to say I didn't enjoy XV but it did leave a lot to be desired.

yeah. even all major gaming sites podcats says while there have been great games this year Persona 5 is the first one who some of their editors like more than zelda

wow even you're playing this type of game wtf that's awesome. Yea if this is your first just want you to know the other 4 are nowhere near as great as this one (I loved P3 btw, but P5 wins hands down)

yea it beat zelda MM as my favorite game of all time. P5 does have flaws but I swear the game was too perfect from palaces 1-4. I found no flaws until 5 (pacing, camera getting ridiculous, story quality taking a hit, but gets better at the end)

Nier is a good game but it isn't worth 60bucks

more like 40 bucks, heck maybe 20 even considering you could beat it in a rental period

FFXV is just a trainwreck that I don't want to be a part of much of the story is omitted to the movie and the rest is just bad bad bad except the graphics maybe but even then i yearn for the days of 2d when we didn't have people gushing over complete bullshit in games

I think dark souls and monster hunter are where the rpg genre needs to go not FFXV certainly

I only had it happen 1 time and I thought it was a tutorial situation. I guess I got lucky.

I am about 60 hours in and working on the 4th palace. I grind a lot and talk to literally every person available to talk to each day, so it takes me a little longer than most to finish it. I am loving the hell out of it, though. I am a huge SMT fan and have played every game in the series. They are some of my favorites.

I'm still playing P5, at something like 75 hours now, won't be much longer! Really fun, and finally getting use out of my Vita again to remote play too. There are still parts of Golden I like more as a whole, but 5 grew on me quickly. Some music and arcana in 3 are better to me, and the overall writing in the duology of 2 is still my favorite. I'd really love a spin off where the reporters from 2 team up with Akihiko and Mitsuru (maybe Aegis too) to investigate the phantom thieves. Then as a surprise Naoto shows up too. But that's just blatant fanservice and probably won't happen. You'd think they'd wonder what is going on in Shibuya though.

Anyway I liked FF XV, although I was sad the side quests aren't very fleshed out and there's only a couple towns, everything else is just garages and convenience stores. As for the wilderness, though, it's very cool. The story has some decent parts that line up ok with kingsglaive, but mostly it wasn't all that memorable to me compared to say, VI or X. It is really, undeniably cool to see a modern FF.

As for nier automata, I hear it maintains the sad factor of the plot, and is fun to play, but it's def not the original in most ways. Take that as you will, some people never played or liked the original. I loved it so I'm also not holding my breath when it comes to this one. But I want to try it.

130 hours across two full playthroughs and saved my clear data after the second

If I play the game again, it will probably only be to try a new game from scratch on the dlc highest difficulty and see how long I can stand it
