Riley was someone she wanted to f***

What makes you say that? They were just good friends that had an awkward two-second kiss never foreshadowed or mentioned again. On the other hand, Riley was a kind of street smart mentor in addition to a friend.

Oh come on you can't be serious

That was the entire point of their relationship. Their argument, their reconnecting and their dying together.

They loved each other and as their bodies were developing and hormones were coursing they didn't know how to handle it.

It was a clever mix of coming of age drama in the Zombie apoloclaspye world which is why it went down so well.

I'm starting to doubt you ever did play the DLC, I think you just googled what happened in it

The idea that Ellie saw Joel as a replacement for a teen girl she lusted after is bonkers

Like I learned in another game, I will not sacrifice one on a possibility that many will be saved. It may work, but it also may not and that makes it in vain and knowing you let someone die in vain is possibly one of the worst feelings. Someone doing that is not evil, that's the stupidest thing you've ever said and that's a fucking accomplishment.

No it doesn't. To be in vain it has to fail no matter what.

Nothing we learn at any point implies that Ellie's brain doesn't contain the key to fighting the infection and as someone else pointed out it butchers the ending if you pretend it does.

Yes it is.

Going against someone's will to murder a bunch of people and prevent the forming of a cure for humanity in a zombie apocolaypse for selfish reasons because you like them and are pissed at the world, is evil.

Joel is evil. He'll doom the world and fuck everyone else for his own wants, even people who showed him mercy.

He never was a hero.

As I said the lengths fans go to just to bendover backwards to defend him is creepy and funny

"Murder, lying, kidnapping and destroying the cure for an infection which is literally wiping out the human race for your own selfish reasons is a good thing if you wuv someone."

The Islamic State would be very keen to recruit you.

"Yeah I blew up the white-house and doomed the world with a plague but I love this random guy so therefore I'm a good person."

Joel's a monster. That's kinda the point/theme of The Last of US. Joel never was, never is and never will be a hero

Well, kinda.

The point was more that when you have to survive, it doesn't matter who did the right thing.
