It's partially because the Rick and Morty subreddit is a fucking shitshow, but then again the vast majority of tv themed subs are, especially out of season (and to be fair, there's not much else to do other than post old jokes and screen caps). There's a bit of it on here too. Lots of people were outraged by the April Fool's joke, just because they didn't get to watch a new episode of Samurai Jack.
