Yeah I know. I mean in the games themselves. When they showed gameplay, my god she barely has any clothes on and has serious ass/bust combo action going. But in the reveal trailer, I did not get that vibe whatsoever. It was pretty surprising

Yeah, that's what I always kept telling myself, that I probably wouldn't enjoy it like I think I would. Hell, the reputation of its community alone already proceeded it. As much as the word "toxic" gets thrown around nowadays to describe a fanbase, LoL was the first time I'd ever seen it used in that context.

Even with regards to Smite (the MOBA I mentioned earlier), they had to do more than offer a catgirl goddess to convince me to try it out. Of course like I said, I rarely ever get to actually play as Bastet because folks in these kinds of games are prone to insta-locking DPS roles, and even when I *do* get to select her, I'm subpar because I'm not accustomed to playing Assassins (or Mages and Hunters for that matter). I can only assume I'd run into the exact same issue with Ahri if she's also some manner of DPS.

Incidentally, it wasn't too long ago that Smite added their own nine-tailed fox, albeit one with ties to Chinese mythology due to the theme of the game.
