Couldn't vote in poll. Too many games that were influential to my childhood. Desperately needed an "all of the above" one. Hopefully this comes with Some of the killer SNES RPGS. Chrono Trigger, FF 2 & 3 (Or 4 and 6) andwhy not include some more obscure titles. NBA Jam, Ogre Battle, River City Ransom, Actraiser. just too many titles to count. And if they don't put Megaman X on it... there'd be hell to pay! Kidding.

Eh, the problem with the poll is that I pretty much already own all of the options.

As for the things you listed, you need to remember that Nintendo may not necessarily want to pay 3rd parties for their content so that'll be a bit slimmer. Plus RCR was the NES, wasn't it?

Also there are better versions of some of those games out there. DS and PSP versions of FF4, GBA version of FF6, and DS version of CT for example,

I hope they this time add unreleased games like full Starfox 2 or BS only games like full F-zero BS GB 2 with all 4 weeks.

Cool, I look forward to another mediocre product with over inflated hype being distributed on a purposely limited supply around a busy season. That should be fun again.

I lol'd.
Nintendo has been frustrating me since the Wii. Most underpowered console, pathetic online functionalities (or lack thereof), poor third party support, and pretending like they are actually trying to stock their shit when really they're just fucking with us to make money. I have long since abandoned ship and became a PC and PS4 gamer. Sure there's more dlc and microtransactions, but at least I know I can actually get the product I want right then and there. Instead of just a bunch scalped Amiibos with exclusive content that can cost more than a game if they're rare enough.
I feel for the people who will struggle to acquire the SNES but really Nintendo is never going to change.

Pass. I'll grab a Raspberry Pi if I feel like playing older games. Same price but I'm not limited to 30 poorly emulated titles.

It's annoying that the GBA version of FFVI is very expensive and Nintendo/SquareEnix don't want to port it to the 3DS (or really do anything with it). Aside from VII, it's considered the best in the series and neither company seems to want to take advantage of that.

I've seen this like 7000 times in the last 24 hours so I'm going to say it's real.

A pocket N64 would be hot but I think I like too many Rare and third-party games to make that work.

First off, console power isn't terribly meaningful and, at best, all it does it put you in a three-way losing race where you're indistinguishable from the competition. More so, a lot of that tech isn't really needed to deliver a great gaming experience.

Second, every console-maker has problems with supply when the demand is high, exacerbated by scalpers trying to take advantage of the hype. And it's not like they make more money by *not* providing consoles since they aren't scalping themselves.

Third, most Amiibos don't seem to include exclusive content of any real value. As far as I'm aware, the hardest to find ones all involved Smash Bros and all they did was store data. Other ones, which actually provided content like the Shovel Knight amiibo, have been very easy to find. Down the road, that might be an issue for people getting into a game years later, but it's not much different when somebody picks up a game after the DLC is no longer available.
