I decided to just listen to a bunch of their old songs. These guys are so good. I wonder if any music they make now retain some of the same quality.

I actually picked up their latest album at the time back in 2007. They didn't hold it together. One hit at most.

Whatever though. They had a place in the 90's, when it was ironically edgy to have positive messages in music.

I like the range they had in terms of tone. They had their serious songs but a lot of their music were these upbeat, comedic headbangers that actuallly talked about real shit when you stop and listen to the lyrics.

i dont like that yelling for yelling sake stuff. like there are words here because that is what has happened before, rather than to actually make the song pleasant. i started out not liking the offspring, played crazy taxi, now i really dont like the offspring.

Not to mention the lead singer Dexter Holland is, like, a Renaissance man. The dude's a talented musician, a genius scientist, an entrepreneur and so on.
It's always funny to me when you see these people that are these hardcore looking rocker type then come to find out, they're these very intelligent and highly educated people. Like Alexis Krauss from Sleigh Bells.
