Donald Trump was apparently UPSET and FURIOUS when he heard that Amanda Knox voted for HILLARY CLINTON despite the fact that he continually tweeted her INNOCENT and SUPPORT throughout her ordeal!!

The 29 y/o was imprisoned for the murder of her British Roommate, Meredith Kercher but was acquitted after a re-trial said lack of evidence was not enough to keep her and her ex boyfriend, Rafael Sollecito in prison.

Back then she had received support from Trump when he was a then-private citizen but after Amanda was acquitted, she supported Hillary Clinton instead and Trump was no longer in her corner!!

The president was "very upset" with the "ungrateful" Knox according to George Lombardi, his neighbor at Trump Tower who is also known as an associate with contacts in European Far-right political circles.

Amanda was arrested and tried for the November 1, 2007 murder of Meredith who was found stabbed to death in their apartment. A lengthy legal process in the Italian court system dragged it on for 8 years and concluded in 2015. In 2009 she was sentenced to 26 years in prison along with her then boyfriend, Rafael Sollecito. Another man, a drifter named Rudy Guedue was imprisoned for 30 years but cut to 16 after an appeal.

In 2011, Amanda and Rafael were controversially cleared and freed after key evidence colapsed and Rudy was confirmed as the only convicted murderer.

Trump was in full support of Amanda and urged sanctions against Italy if she went to jail and Amanda even said that Trump DONATED money to her DEFENSE fund when she and her family were strapped for cash.

Amanda returned in 2015 to the United States and endorsed HILLARY because of her progressive views as Amanda said "Trump's statements about abortion were misinformed. Hillary's position on women's reproductive health was the source of my enthusiasm for her presidential candidacy"

Amanda received backlash from Trump supporteres who demanded she OWED Trump her SUPPORT because of his advocacy for her cause.

But Amanda said "Politics is not a tit for tat game. It's not, i helped you now you help me. Only in the Banana Republics do rich political leaders dole out favours in exchange for your silence and your vote. Tit for Tat politics are a threat to Democracy and it troubles me that some Trump Supporters subscribe to that policy. We were grateful when any supporters, including Trump donated to my defense and spoke out on my innocence. Even if Trump means well, his schemes tend to be blunt, selfish and short-sighted rather than nuanced, empathetic and thought through"

She also noted his hypocrisy and that he was correct on her innocence but he maintains that the teens arrested in Central Park Five were still guilty despite authorities acknowledging they were wrongfully imprisoned.
