General Rules:

There will be fortnightly challenges until an obvious winner is declared. The winner wins a free nintendo game of their choice (within reason)

Catching Pokemon

Every now and then I will declare a topic on board 8 to be a route topic. If you post in that topic looking for a pokemon, a random one will jump out of the grass and you have the choice to catch it or wait until the next route to try again. You can earn a point on each route by pming me a guess of how I picked that pool of random pokemon.

For instance, if you go to a route and see that people are encountering grimers, koffings, gulpins, gastlys you might pm me the guess "route 801 has only poison pokemon" and you would get 0 points because route 801 actually has pokemon from the amorphous egg group

Routes will sometimes be my topics. They may sometimes be posted with my alt, or I may have a friend create the topic. The title will not say that it's a route topic, so you'll have to click them to find them.


Evolving Pokemon

You can evolve your pokemon at any time, just post in challenge topics in the following format

Evolve: [pokemon]

One evolution per challenge. Evolving really makes no huge difference to how the game goes, it just means the pokemon you have to use for your challenge changes with the evolution. Certain features of pokemon might be better for one challenge over another.


Today's Challenge: Pokemon Snapchat

For today's challenge we have a fairly straightforward and simple task worth 5 points: Send a snapchat selfie of your pokemon to me, SantaRPG on snapchat. Full points will be based on effort, more than anything, but take a look at some basic ideas of how to get all the points this challenge:

Is the photo taken in "snapchat style" (with the translucent black bar and white text)
Are you in the photo?
Is your pokemon in the photo?
Is your pokemon drawn with some sort of effort?
Was it sent over snapchat?
Is your pokemon mildly close to its in game size?

if you answer yes to all of those questions, you'll most likely get full points in this round.

But I don't have snapchat/I'm ashamed of my body/I'm legit afraid that you're going to use my picture to find me in real life and smell my hair/etc.

Partial points will still be rewarded if you come up with some sort of creative solution to your problem. Even if you draw yourself and your pokemon taking a selfie in crayon and post that, you'll still be in the running for winner (I pass out bonus points like candy)
