i notice the biggest complaint is that there's no mention on mental illness when it comes to suicide. But i dont see how thats really a problem. Main character didn't really have a mental illness, she was just bullied and the people around her were fucking awful.




Anyways show wasn't too bad. Characters were somewhat likeable (Tony being the best). I feel the love could've saved her trope was a bit much.

hated how the show ended though

also they kinda left the whole deal with the photographer kid being a potential school shooter kinda open. We don't know what happens, if he does it or not. Alex kills himself off screen which is another suicide yet everyone seems to ignore it this time???? Also why the fuck hasnt bryce been arrested

also, the photographer thing came way out of left field and was a bit stupid and just felt shoved in.

its based on a book isn't it? I dont see why they would make a season 2

unless there's a sequel to the book or whatever


anyways the themes overall felt somewhat sloppy. If you're going to make a statement about sexual assault and consent, make a seperate statement about that.

it feel its too much mixing it in with suicide.

if it was just bullying, it would have been one thing, but she also felt extreme guilt for letting her friend get raped, and not doing anything about it afterwards (outside of her suicide tape), and she was complicit in Jeff dying

shit just kept stacking for her, plus she got raped, too

idk how anyone can handle that kinda stuff without having someone to talk to about it, tbh.

As far as I know, the entire lawsuit aspect wasn't in the book, along with all the other loose ends. They're setting up to expand the story beyond the novel.
